Uschi Lanier

Coming from an artistic family background art always played an important role in Uschi Lanier’s life.
After receiving her Bachelors and Masters Degree in education, teaching school in Germany offered her plenty of opportunity to be creative and at the same time to encourage her students to let their own creativity flow.

Aside from teaching, taking care of family, participating in sports and playing in a Mardi Gras type music group Uschi always enjoyed experimenting with various art media, but mostly she did pencil and charcoal drawings.

In 2003 Uschi and her husband David moved to Cape Coral, Florida.  Feeling inspired by the tropical colors and the light she switched her focus from drawing to painting, predominantly working with acrylic and oil. While her subject matter varies, most of her paintings are characterized by strong colors and great detail.

Since living in Florida, Uschi has displayed her art work in different galleries, participated in numerous judged and juried shows and won several awards.
