Artist's Statement:
"Since I was a child, I've loved
creating images that are meaningful to me but due to
career and family
obligations
I did not
have the
opportunity to develop my skills
until
retiring from
corporate
life in 2002. Creating art is my
way of sharing my
view of
the world with those who find my
work
appealing."
Biography:
Working
in
water-based media, she
combines her love of nature
with her passion for
artistic realism to
produce
fine art paintings of
a wide range of subjects. Her
paintings of
landscapes and
nautical scenes capture an array
of
moods through
skilled
use
of
bursts of color for
brilliant sunsets and sunrises
or subtle
applications of
paint resulting in atmospheric
depth
and
drama. Her
attention
to detail brings wildlife
and waterfowl to life and
tempts and
arouses the
senses
when
viewing still life
creations.
