Harbour View Gallery is a cooperative art gallery comprised of award winning local artists.
It is a place for the members to collaborate, inspire and
express themselves. The gallery is owned, managed
and maintained by the artist members who show their work,
staff the gallery and handle all aspects of running the
gallery. This provides a venue for the artists to display
and sell their artwork as well as a place for the community
to view and acquire what artists in their area are creating.
The idea of making their artwork accessible and affordable
to potential buyers is one of the goals of the gallery. In
addition to selling their art, the artists understand the
importance of belonging to a group of peers who promote
and support their creativity, provide a relaxed atmosphere
and a place that encourages an appreciation of handcrafted items.
Harbour View Gallery also provides gallery space for their visiting artist program. Every
month the gallery welcomes two artists that have been selected to showcase their artwork in the
gallery. An opening reception takes place on the first Tuesday of every month. The public is
invited to attend. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and talk to the artists and gain
insight about their work.
